The 6th Philippine International Motor Show is happening next week!

The Philippine International Motor Show, the lone motor show in the country that's organized by most of the market's major brands through the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc., will be holding the sixth installment of the biennial event from September 14 to 18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The theme of this year’s show is "Steer The Future" with the tagline "CAMPI: Driving Progress, Empowering Society," highlighting the automotive industry's contributions to the advancement of the country and its economy.

"PIMS is proof that the automotive industry remains robust these past few years," said CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez. "We are excited to stage it this year as we lead Filipinos to a future of better mobility and transportation, and contribute to the country's progress."

Participated in by 17 of the Philippines' top car manufacturers and distributors, namely BAIC, BMW, Daewoo Bus, Foton, Honda, Isuzu, Jeep, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Peugeot, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen, attendees can expect to see these brands showcase not only their product lineup but also their latest models which are expected to make their debut at the show. Confirmed to appear on our shores officially for the very first time at PIMS are the following:

* Mazda CX-3

* Nissan GT-R

* All-New Toyota Prius

* Volkswagen CC

New variants and updated vehicles models will also be on display at the show, like the refreshed Isuzu D-Max, Honda City 1.5 E Limited Edition, and seven-seater dual-clutch Kia Soul. A handful of vehicles are also expected to draw the attendees attention, namely the BMW i8 hybrid, the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 Formula 1 car, and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV hybrid SUV.

Honda Cars Philippines is also teasing that it will debut an all-new seven-seater SUV at the show and we predict it's the Honda BR-V which we reported will make its debut at around this time back in December 2015.

PIMS 2016 will also have an After-Sales Pavilion where car owners can shop for upgrades and genuine parts for their vehicles, both old and new, while a test drive area outside the venue will allow prospective car buyers to test drive different vehicle brands and types in one location.

The 6th PIMS is co-presented by Total Philippines and has BPI Family Savings Bank as its official auto loan partner. Tickets to the show are available at SM Tickets for only P100. For more information, visit smtickets.com or dial 470-22-22.
