Porsche recalls Macan S, Macan Turbo globally

Porsche has announced that it is recalling 58,881 units of the Porsche Macan - specifically the Macan S and Macan Turbo models - for a possible leak in its low-pressure fuel line located inside the engine compartment. The German carmaker clarified though that this is only a precautionary measure and that there have been no reports of accidents or injuries that are related to the issue.

Porsche added that the recall only affects the models equipped with gasoline engines and that the problem "was identified after a precise examination of complaints and then immediately rectified in ongoing production."

Macan owners will reportedly be contacted directly by their respective dealers and that workshop appointments will be arranged as quickly as possible. Work on the affected Porsche Macan models will supposedly take around an hour and will be carried out free of charge.
