The S207 is the Subaru WRX STI you really want

If the Subaru WRX STI just doesn't cut it for you, Subaru Tecnica International, Subaru's motorsports division, is launching an even higher performance limited-edition version of it known as the S207 on December 1.
Based on the already-desirable WRX STI, the S207 has received a raft of modifications from Subaru Tecnica International, from the engine and suspension to both the exterior and interior design, "providing a feel-good experience to all those who travel in it regardless of road conditions and enhancing driver skill."

From its standard power output of 304hp, special engine tuning has bumped it up to 324hp while the car's handling has been enhanced by a quick steering gear ratio of 11:1. Original STI cimponents have also been added to the S207, inlcuding a flexible tower bar, DampMatic II front suspension with adjustable damping--reportedly a first for a Japanese carmaker--and front-rear Active Torque Vectoring, "all of which combine to achieve a strong yet flexible ride and sharp cornering." The best news for motoring enthusiasts though is that the S207 is only equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
Keeping the increased power in control are enhanced Brembo six-pot brakes in front and four-pot brakes at the rear that feature monoblock opposed-piston brake calipers and drilled rotors. Specially designed 255/35R19 tires and an exclusive large front spoiler help to keep the S207 firmly planted on the ground.

Completing the updates the S207 has over the standard WRX STI are the rear bumper air outlet on the exterior to the exclusive STI-spec Recaro front bucket seats and customized sports instruments for the interior.

According to Subaru, only 400 units of the S207 will be made available to the public, with 200 being allotted for the NBR Challenge Package, which adds an exclusive dry carbon rear spoiler and an ornament commemorating Subaru's victory in the SP3T class in the 2015 Nurburgring 24-Hour Race. In addition, a limited run of 100 units will be made available for the NBR Challenge Package Yellow Edition which paints the S207 in vivid Sunrise Yellow. Standard body colors for the S207 though are limited to WR Blue Pearl, Crystal White Pearl, and Crystal Black Silica.
For its home market of Japan, Subaru has priced the S207 at JPY5,994,000 (over P2.327 million) while the Yellow Edition carries a price tag of JPY6,372,000 (over P2.474 million).

Subaru failed to disclose though if the S207 will be limited only to Japan or if it will be made available globally. If it's the former, then there's nothing we could do about it. But if it's the latter, then we'd better start praying that we'll get at least a couple of units since the carmaker will only accept orders for the car until March 6, 2016--sooner if you plan on getting the Yellow Edition since its order book closes on November 30, 2015.
