Subaru reveals what the next-generation Impreza will look like

As the current-generation Subaru Impreza nears the end of its shelf life following its launch in 2011, the Japanese carmaker has revealed what the next-generation model will look like at the ongoing 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

The design of the Subaru Impreza 5-Door Concept is an evolution of Subaru's current Dynamic & Solid design language, with the former best exemplified by the character lines on the car's sheet metal, specifically the one from the front fender to the door panels and rear shoulder, and the line that rises toward the rear from the lower door panel.

The Wide & Low stance found in the current Impreza continues with the 5-Door Concept, with the hexagonal grille and hawk-eye headlights up front and the wide shoulders over the rear fenders emphasizing these elements.

According to Subaru, the design direction of the Impreza 5-Door Concept also hints at the design direction of its future models "as a whole."

All I can say for now - at least until I see what the full production model of the next-generation Subaru Impreza will actually look like - is that I like it.
